Building SONS
Raising godly boys is no easy task.
Christian Service Brigade | Canada knows how parents may struggle with raising their boys. We know that boys think, learn, mature, and play differently than girls. Scripture teaches (and scientific research confirms) that the needs of a boy change as he grows. This is why our DISCIPLESHIP PATH includes resources that are age-appropriate and boy-tested. We offer three action-filled discipleship programs for boys ages 4 through 18: Tree Climbers, Stockade and Battalion.
Our purpose is to disciple boys and young men through the men the local church, showing them how to live as God intended.

Brigade can play a vital role in shaping your son’s character and passion for God. Luke 2:52 states, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Our programs are modeled from His example and are designed to help develop a boy in four key areas: mental, physical, spiritual and social.
MENTAL
Brigade helps boys and young men to use their minds to engage with the Bible and with God’s creation that surrounds them. Our programs and materials are designed to exercise their minds as well as their bodies.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

PHYSICAL
A boy’s body “is a temple of the Holy Spirit” that was given to him by God and is a precious gift.
Brigade’s programs are activity-based and designed to put a young boy’s energy into active and healthy play. Our programs have exercises that help develop a boy’s dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and teaches him to play well with others in healthy and uplifting ways.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”

SPIRITUAL
Imagine your teenage son graduating high school able to stand firm spiritually; ready to face the world with Jesus Christ as their leader, the Holy Spirit as their guide and fulfilling their calling in the Kingdom of God.
Brigade’s purpose and mission is to “Build Godly men of today and tomorrow.” Each of our programs (Tree Climbers, Stockade, Battalion, and Herald of Christ) is designed to be a 15-year road map to help foster and develop the spiritual characteristics and qualities necessary to live a life for Christ.

SOCIAL
God did not create boys and young men to live in isolation. He redeems them into His family and places them in the midst of a world desperately in need of the Good News that God gave His Son so that all may have eternal life. Helping boys understand their place within the church and the world is a vital component of Bridade’s ministry.
“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”

Christian Service Brigade | Canada encourages Parents to engage with the men of their local church to learn how to build boy to follow Jesus together. Our discipleship path is an action-packed spiritual growth roadmap to manhood for boys ages 4-18 and for men of any age who wish to mentor others for the Lord. Our programs includes:
Tree Climbers (Ages 4-7/Grades K-2) is the first step. It is the beginning of CSB’s discipleship path where godly men invest in the boy as he journeys from boyhood to manhood.
Stockade (Ages 8-11/Grades 3-6) provides the boy with a foundation of good Spiritual Habits, helping him apply his faith in the Lord Jesus to the world in which he lives. 
Battalion (Ages 12-18/Grades 7-12) prepares the young man to live according to God’s Word, the Bible. CSB’s Seven Points of VALOUR encapsulate the Biblical Goals of the young man’s discipleship journey and sets a high standard of what a godly man looks like.
Herald of Christ is a 9-12 month discipleship path that equips and challenges men to the the spiritual warriors God has called them to be, able to stand firm in their faith by the power of God at work in them and through them.
